Real Journeys in Technology is a core technology curriculum for grades K-8 that is ideal for both computer labs and classrooms. Built around a scope and sequence of 500 learning objectives in ten key technology areas, Real Journeys in Technology meets or exceeds State and International Society for Technology (ISTE) NETS standards. By design, each lesson builds upon the technology skills, the learning objectives, and the content knowledge taught in preceding lessons. When the curriculum is implemented sequentially, the students have enough opportunities to practice, and over time, to achieve mastery of the skills in all 10 technology areas. Included in each color-coded grade level kit is a full-year’s curriculum containing thirty-five adventure-themed lessons that are interactive and project based.

Using projects that are linked with language arts, social studies, math and science content, Real Journeys in Technology promotes active student learning in the following technology areas:

Real Journeys in Technology utilizes such software as Kid Pix Studio Deluxe, Print Artist Gold, and Storybook Weaver Deluxe for the K-2 levels and Microsoft Office for the 3-8 levels. Each classroom kit is color coded so that teachers may choose the level most appropriate for their classes.

Each kit contains a comprehensive Teacher Guide, Student Workbooks and a CD-ROM containing electronic templates, samples, and Handouts.
